If there’s one thing Epiphone knows how to do, it’s crafting instruments that make waves. This year, they’ve done it again with the release of the Emily Wolfe “White Wolfe” Sheraton. A collaboration between Epiphone and singer-songwriter Emily Wolfe, this new signature model redefines what it means to be a musician in the modern age.
Epiphone, a pioneer in musical instrument design for 150 years, and Emily Wolfe, an acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and producer, have merged their visions to create an instrument that not only stands out but also empowers musicians to express their creativity fearlessly. Emily says, “The White Wolfe is a showstopper of a guitar. It’s a true symbol of how bold and unafraid we can be as guitar players. I hope this beautiful instrument feels like a part of anyone who picks it up.”
This model, the second Epiphone signature guitar from Wolfe, doesn’t merely continue the Sheraton legacy; it forges its own path. It draws inspiration from the semi-hollowbody design of the iconic Sheraton, an instrument favored by legends like John Lee Hooker and Noel Gallagher. It also infuses Wolfe’s distinct musicality and flair.
But the guitar is just the beginning of the story. We recently sat down with Emily Wolfe to learn more about her. Keep reading, and we’ll reveal seven fun facts about Emily that will give you a glimpse into the mind behind the “White Wolfe.”
But first, let’s take another look at this beautiful new Epiphone Emily Wolfe “White Wolfe” Sheraton!
Seven Things You Should Know About Emily Wolfe
We recently had the chance to play 20 questions with Emily Wolfe. We’ve started doing this with all of the artists in our portfolio. Here are our Top Seven Picks from our sit-down with Emily.
Epiphone: Emily, what’s your dream guitar?
Emily Wolfe: The Sheraton Stealth. Electric all the way!
Epiphone: You’re on tour. What are five things that make you smile when you’re missing home?
Emily Wolfe: My dog Stella, my late dog Otis, my wife, an incredible guitar solo, finding a new pedal that does something I’ve never heard before.
Epiphone: What is the weirdest show/gig you’ve ever played?
Emily Wolfe: I have played a show on top of a hot tub before. The stage was so small and set up over the hot tub at a hotel in Dallas. It was for a happy hour, and no one cared that there was live music. Very memorable.
Epiphone: Is there a specific guitar tuning that inspires you?
Emily Wolfe: CGCEAD on drop C strings.
Epiphone: What’s your go-to shower or singing-in-the-car song?
Emily Wolfe: Fantasy by Mariah Carey.
Epiphone: Let’s talk about your influences for a moment. What’s a song that never fails to bring you to tears?
Emily Wolfe: Lover, You Should’ve Come Over by Jeff Buckley.
Epiphone: Heavy. What a great song choice. Let’s end on a lighter note. What is the most epic prank that you’ve pulled or that has been pulled on you on tour?
Emily Wolfe: At every venue, the staff gives the band members specific wristbands for entry/exit purposes. I always ask the staff to put my wristband on my left wrist because of the way I use my right hand when playing guitar. If the wristband is on my right wrist, it gets caught on the strings and really messes up my playing. One time, the staff at the night’s venue was super adamant about my wristband being on my right wrist to the point where I got a bit heated because they refused my request several times for my wristband to be on my left wrist. Evan, my bass player, quickly stepped in, laughed out loud, and admitted he set it all up as a prank. Now the wristband prank is a big inside joke.
