Gibson announces AssH as new Marquee Artist

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Shibuya, Japan, joins the Gibson Marquee Artist program for 2025

Known for his genre-blending guitar work and dynamic live performances, AssH has carved out a unique space in Japan’s music scene and beyond. From major stages in Tokyo and Osaka to international appearances in the United States, his journey as a solo artist since 2018 has been nothing short of electric.

Whether on stage or in the studio, AssH uses the guitar as both a tool and a voice—crafting songs that connect deeply with a new generation of listeners. As part of Gibson’s commitment to artist-first culture and music discovery, the Marquee Artist program invests in furthering the careers of artists on the rise who reflect the brand’s mission to celebrate and amplify music across genders, genres, and generations.

“As a marquee artist, I am both honored and excited to work on various music activities in partnership with Gibson,” says AssH. “The Gibson sound and brand have always been very familiar, admired, and a big part of my life since I got my first ES-335 guitar in high school. I use my Gibson for production, songwriting, and live performances, and I hope that I can be an inspiration giving dreams, love, and cool sounds to other people who want to express themselves through music and work hard, if even just a little bit.”

“By joining our program, AssH not only brings a fresh perspective from Japan’s vibrant music scene but also inspires the next generation of creators to find their unique sound with Gibson. We look forward to supporting AssH’s journey and sharing his music with fans worldwide.”
