New Gibson Gear Guide video showcases killer guitars custom-ordered via the Gibson Made to Measure program
Ever wanted to get your hands on a Frost Blue 1959 Gibson ES-355 with Murphy Lab aging? Or a Purple Void Les Paul™ Deluxe with P-90s and a neck volute? Or how about a Made to Measure mash-up of an SG™ and a 1956 Les Paul Goldtop?
In the following video filmed on location at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, you’ll see all of the above and more as Dinesh Lekhraj goes behind the scenes and checks out some of the wildest recent builds that have been custom-ordered via the Gibson Custom Made to Measure program.
What is the Gibson Made to Measure program?
The artisans of the Gibson Custom Shop locations in Nashville, Tennessee, and Bozeman, Montana, handcraft the world’s most desirable electric and acoustic guitars. But they also understand that no matter how great an off-the-peg designer suit might look and feel, the most discerning customers appreciate the sharper fit and personalized comfort of something that has been tailored to their specific needs and preferences, right down to the last detail.
This is where Gibson Custom’s Made to Measure program comes in. Through the Gibson Custom Made to Measure program, Gibson Custom luthiers can handcraft a one-of-a-kind guitar that’s as individual as you are. Perhaps you’ve always loved the idea of a weight-relieved ’57 Goldtop with a SlimTaper™ neck profile. Or maybe you want to color-match the metallic blue paint job from your very first car. Whatever you dream up, using an iconic Gibson model as a starting point, our Gibson Garage Pros and approved Gibson Custom dealers, working directly with the artisans from the Gibson Custom Shop locations, will guide you through the Made to Measure process and help you make it a reality.
Gibson Custom Made to Measure delivers an unrivaled customer service experience and a one-of-a-kind guitar that is uniquely yours and like no other.
How long does it take to build my Gibson Custom Made to Measure guitar?
The process of making an individualized, custom guitar takes time. These are not pre-configured, off-the-shelf instruments – each Made to Measure instrument is unique, one-of-a-kind, and artfully crafted from premium materials specifically for the person who orders it. Because of that, each custom order timeline varies depending on the specifications, level of customization, and our current workload.
