All proceeds benefit underfunded and understudied women’s health research at Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation
Pop icon Jessica Simpson is set to headline the 2025 Women Who Rock™ Benefit Concert, presented by Gibson Gives, on Friday, September 5 at Stage AE in Pittsburgh. The annual event, which last year featured Melissa Etheridge, raises funds for the Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, the nation’s largest research institute dedicated to women’s health. Tickets are available now via AXS.
“Women’s health continues to play catch up in clinical trials and in research funding. The support provided by organizations like Women Who Rock and Gibson Gives is crucial to fueling research and innovation in women’s health. We must continue these kinds of partnerships to accelerate action and change the way the world treats women,” says Michael Annichine, CEO of Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation.
Melinda Colaizzi, Founder of Women Who Rock, says, “At Women Who Rock, we believe in the power of music to drive real change, and right now, that change is urgently needed. Women are still fighting for equality in music, in healthcare, and in how their stories are told. At a time when women’s health research is critically underfunded and facing devastating federal cuts, our mission has never been more urgent.
“We’re deeply honored to have Jessica Simpson, a powerful mom, entrepreneur, and music icon, headline this year’s benefit concert in support of Magee-Womens Research Institute. We’re also incredibly thankful for Gibson’s continued support of our movement and for helping us amplify our mission.”
Beth Heidt, Chief Marketing Officer at Gibson, adds, “Now more than ever, it is vital to shine a light on women’s health, to insist and ensure that the desperately needed research, funding, and access are provided. Women Who Rock and the Magee-Womens Research Institute align with the values of Gibson Gives in supporting the whole health of all communities.”

What to expect at the event
Jessica Simpson, who has sold over 20 million albums and built a billion-dollar fashion empire, returns to music with her new EP Nashville Canyon. She’ll lead an all-female lineup that includes Buffalo Rose, DJ ms.TIZA, and Kiya Tomlin, the winner of this year’s WWR Rising Star Contest. The evening will also feature a special segment honoring Survivors Who Rock, presented by UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. The event will be hosted by Kelly Dzanaj, an on-air personality for 100.7 Star FM.
Attendees can enjoy the signature Pink Carpet entrance, a Beauty Bar with complimentary perks, a social sharing photobooth, the Rockstar Silent Auction, and, for VIP ticket holders, access to the VIP Lounge, Gifting Suite, and Pre-Show Happy Hour.
Proceeds from the concert will support research on breast and gynecologic cancers, heart health, infectious diseases, infertility, maternal and infant mortality, and more. Less than 10 percent of federal health research funding goes to women’s health, making events such as this crucial for advancing women’s healthcare.
