View Jack Bruce’s EB-1 Violin Bass in person and experience live music in support of the new Jack Bruce Foundation
The Gibson Garage London is celebrating its first anniversary in style with a week-long series of public events and special exhibits from Tuesday, February 18th, to Monday, February 24th. The Garage has become a vibrant hub for music lovers and musicians, featuring many electric and acoustic guitars for visitors to try, live performances, and exclusive launches.
A centerpiece of the celebrations is a rare, one-time-only display of the late Cream bassist Jack Bruce’s legendary EB-1 Violin Bass, on show from Thursday, 20th February, for four weeks. To support the soon-to-be-established Jack Bruce Foundation, the Garage will host a special “Jam For Jack” fundraising event on February 20th, headlined by artists including Mark King, Phil Manzanera, and Gary Husband. A special bass guitar will also be auctioned in support of the foundation.
Other celebrations include a partnership with a world-renowned musician, songwriter, and guitarist for a special run of signed guitars in support of Teenage Cancer Trust. Also, a new collaborative range of Gibson apparel with a renowned British designer will be announced.
“We are excited to celebrate the first anniversary of the Gibson Garage London,” says Cesar Gueikian, President and CEO of Gibson. “The Garage was designed to be a part of the local music community, and has had an extraordinary impact on the music scene, becoming a global music destination. London is one of the most cosmopolitan cities and influential musical ecosystems in the world, and with Gibson Garage Fest, we look forward to a week of celebration for all music fans!”

Since we opened, we have been visited by thousands of music fans across the globe, we have put guitars in the hands of players of all ages and standards, and we have supported local and national artists on their musical journey. Here’s to many more years of music, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Gibson Garage London during the celebrations.”
Concerning Jack Bruce’s EB-1 bass display, his family says: “We are very excited to be collaborating with the Gibson Garage Fest to celebrate Jack’s incredible legacy and to aid the new Foundation with the display and ‘Jam For Jack.’ It will be wonderful for Jack’s fans to be able to view his iconic EB-1 Violin Bass in the exhibition.
